But we may not have talked in a while, so I will share a little update…
I have had a constant fascination with France for much of my adult life, and I have threatened to move to France altogether for a while.
Well, I finally really did it, moved to Nîmes, France, on January 15, 2025. And this little site is intended to share some of the why’s, what’s, and how’s of that with all of you, my dearest friends and family.
And I have not completely abandoned the U.S. or North Carolina. I look forward to trips home so that we can hug and catch up in person.
A PRIVATE BLOG
Every night a crowd gathers on the Trocadéro in Paris to watch the Eiffel Tower get lit up. It never disappoints!
So, it turns out that it is very difficult to set anything up to be "private" online. Most of the tools for building blogs are meant to encourage new followers to find your stuff. Nonetheless, living on my own in Europe means taking good care to be secure and safe, so that no one ever has to come rescue me!
