When I arrived on January 15, I wasn’t really sure if Nîmes would be as inviting as I remembered it from the few days I spent here in the Spring. But fortunately, it was.
The sun was full that first week, and the temperature was crisp, but not cold. I wandered around investigating the neighborhoods that I had targeted for possible apartment hunting. The more familiar I became with the city, the more I realized that the neighborhood of my Airbnb suited my tastes. It is convenient, on the northern edge of the historic center (“centre ville”,) and a quick walk from Jardin de la Fontaine. After exploring for a couple of weeks, I realized…”I have to find a place to live!” And the hunt for an apartment began.
